Psalm 19:1-4  The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

With this being our first newsletter of Term 3, I would like to welcome everyone back from what I trust was an enjoyable and restful break from the routine of school.

It is always good to get back into routine, but I must say that my wife, Ren and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We were blessed in being able to spend a major portion of the break re-connecting with family; in Hawaii of all places (no I didn’t try a long board on the big waves). Not only did we enjoy a great time catching up, but we got to see a beautiful part of God’s creation that we had not witnessed before. The beauty of the beaches, the waves, the clouds and rain, the sun and rainbows, the mountains and jungles, and even the people, impressed upon us the awesomeness of our God. I truly find it amazing to think that people can look at the tremendous beauty and complexity of the world we live in and not acknowledge the existence of our Creator. As Psalm 19 states, nature itself screams out the very presence of God – we just need to listen and look and He will be impossible to ignore. If you have spent any time sitting quietly in the bush, on the beach or practically anywhere away from the crowds, I expect that you know what I mean.

May you see and know God, and enjoy Him and His creation forever.
