Earlier this year we reported that two staff from Cornerstone had been nominated by members of the community for the National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEITA).

It is with the greatest of pleasure that we can announce that both the Principal, Graeme Cross, and Kindergarten teacher, Cathy Saw have been shortlisted as State Finalists.  Over 1200 nominations were made Nationally, and this has been reduced to a total of 569.  Within Western Australia a total of 70 finalists have been announced from both the public and private education systems, and to have two from Cornerstone alone is very impressive.

The College is blessed with the most amazing teaching staff who aid our students in achieving great things in their education.  These two finalists are just a part of the Cornerstone team that is deserving of a great deal of recognition.

The State Awards will occur in November and the National awards will happen in 2010.
