State Representatives

The Cows Create Careers State Winners are a team of students from Cornerstone Christian College.  As a College, we have won the Junior competition three years running, and been awarded with the opportunity to represent the entire state in two years out of three.  2012 is one of those occasions.

Bronnen Lucas, Natalia DeLuca & Breeanna Forestier are the latest ’dream team’, and headed to Phillip Island last Tuesday and Wednesday, to make the presentation of Western Australia’s entry in the Mooin’ Transfer.

This nationwide competition is an initiative of the Australian Dairy Industry, and aims to promote the career opportunities within it. From Veterinarians and Scientists, to Agronomists and Agriculturalists – the realm of opportunities is enormous.

Cornerstone won the State Junior Title in  2011, and was selected to represent all of the teams (both Junior and Senior) that entered last year.

The young ladies who headed east, are the top students in their year. They, with their classmates, have produced an advertisement that will be shown at the National Dairy Industry Conference. The students have creatively considered how best to capture the attention of the audience, and have gone with a theme of ‘the look’.

Bronnen, Natalia and Breeanna are incredibly excited about the opportunity presented to them.

‘It is such an honour to be chosen to represent Western Australia, and to present ourselves before the many hundreds of industry professionals that will attend the conference’, said Natalia.

‘I am really excited at the chance to travel with Mrs Wright and to be seen as one of the top students that entered in our State’, said Breeana.

‘It will be a great experience to get to speak infront of such a large group of people’, said Natalia.

College co-ordinator and teacher, Mrs Jill Wright is delighted with the recognition the students have received.

‘The team has done so well, and I am confident that the girls will do us and themselves proud’, she said.

The girls returned home this week. We will provide an update as to how they performed when we know.

Well done ladies!
