It is the College’s absolute privilege to introduce to you the lady who takes responsibility for our Year 2 class. Mrs Judith Ali comes to Cornerstone with 16 years of teaching experience, and been with us at Cornerstone for the past 3.
Judith holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Griffith University, and an Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity College in London. Of equal value are her skills in the area of performing arts and music. Because of her talents in this area, she also offers valuable input into the music and arts subjects within Cornerstone.
Judith is well liked, and a respected part of the College’s teaching team. Her desire to make a difference in the lives of each student she encounters is one of the reasons for her popularity and success in education.
Judith believes that Year 2 is an exciting year where the students further develop and consolidate the basic skills learnt in Year 1. She endeavours to foster enthusiasm for learning and desires each of her students to strive for excellence in literacy. Her hope is that all Year 2 students will be the very best that they can be and that each individual student will uncover the God given abilities and strengths that make them unique.
The Year 2 class has a particular flavour in Judith’s hands and her talents in music and performing arts are very evident. Judith has raised the bar at the College in this area, and we celebrate the value she adds to a Cornerstone education.
All students within this year group can access the Learning Support Centre if deemed necessary. There are also opportunities for students to participate in extension work if they have the capacity.
Each child is recognised as an individual and every effort is made to ensure that they receive the attention and specific guidance they need.
