A recent initiative of College staff, has been the Resilient Kids program. Hosted by College Chaplain, Mrs Debbie Robinson and Year 3 teacher, Mrs Tina King, the night provided a forum for education and engagement about how best to raise a child who is resilient.
With over 30 parents making their way to a local cafe, the evening began with some background information that was presented in an engaging and interactive manner. Following this, questions were encouraged, and amongst those benefiting from the evening were chaplains from other schools, a community pastor, and local counsellors.
Parents were encouraged by the content of the night, and many have already expressed their implementation of a number of the concepts and suggestions provided. Positive feedback to staff about how particular students are also flourishing in their Cornerstone education, in particular from the nurturing they experience from staff and their peers was also expressed, and was has exciting to hear.
A terrific night of practical education for parents.

Thanks to Tina and Debbie for presenting this seminar for parents. The structure of the evening was perfect with time for presentation and then discussion. There was a wealth of information presented that was practical and relevant for parents. Thanks again for a great evening.
