Year 1 students joined in with Father’s Day preparations and celebrations with a special event of their own. Little chairs were filled with big people on Friday, with many Father’s able to take time away from work to be pampered by their children in Mrs Sully’s class.
Dads were able to read a book, complete a game or a maths activity, before being served afternoon tea and given a gift. Lots of smiles and happy engagement was also on the agenda.
For those unable to have Dad present on the day, they were happily ‘adopted’ by other Fathers for the afternoon. Even College Principal, Bruce Douglas, was happy to get in on the moment, and shared some one-on-one time with a small student whose Dad was unable to attend on this occasion.
We are delighted that so many were able to make their way back to school, and pray that every Dad, Grandad (and Principal!) had a very happy Father’s Day.

It sounds as if that was a lovely day of sharing for both the dads and the children. A great idea and a reminder of our loving Heavenly Father. Congratulations.
