Carnivale

The traditional Cornerstone Carnivale was held at the end of Term 3, which showcased the breadth of talent within the College in the Arts.

Musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, graphic designers, actors, comedians and many other talented students displayed their skills to a very appreciative audience. Thanks to the organisational abilities of Mr David van der Tang, students were able to show their areas of creative excellence during a very entertaining evening.

The event highlighted the opportunities available to our students, both during class-hours and the activities they participate in beyond the College campus. The range of skills displayed were quite remarkable and every act was wonderful to watch. Well, maybe the exception would be the repeat performance of Mr Howes and his rock-star impersonation.  At least Mr Howes displayed that he can make us all laugh.

Special thanks must go to our College staff – many of whom were behind the students and their performances. We are eagerly anticipating the development of music and the arts within Cornerstone, and the talent displayed at the Carnival bodes well for the future. An intentional development of the music and drama programs at Cornerstone will occur in 2012, and this special evening highlighted a little of what we can expect in the future.

A brilliantly entertaining evening. Well done.
